Privacy Policy

Who this is about

This site is operated by Fidel Frias, trading as DJ Del, a DJ and event services business based in Brooklyn, New York. If you have any question about this policy or about information held about you, contact me at yodjdel@gmail.com or 646-504-2256.

What I collect

When you fill in an enquiry or quote form on this site, you choose what to tell me. That typically includes:

• Your name and the name of your organisation, if relevant
• Your email address and phone number
• Details about your event — date, venue, guest count, type of occasion and anything else you decide to share

I do not ask for payment card details through this website, and you should never send them by email.

Separately, analytics and advertising tools record technical information about your visit: the pages you view, roughly where in the world you are, which site or advert sent you here, and the type of device and browser you are using. That information is not used to identify you personally.

How I use it

Information you send through a form is used to:

• Reply to your enquiry and answer questions
• Check availability for your date and prepare a quote
• Plan and deliver the booking if you go ahead
• Keep records of bookings and contracts, as any business does

I do not sell your information, and I do not share it with anyone for their own marketing.

Marketing

I will reply to your enquiry. I will not add you to a mailing list unless you ask me to, and if I ever do send occasional updates you can stop them by replying and saying so.

Who else sees it

Some information passes through services I use to run the business:

• Typeform hosts the enquiry forms on this site and stores your responses. See Typeform's privacy information.
• Google Analytics and Google Ads record how people find and use this site, and whether an advert led to an enquiry. See Google's privacy policy.
• Email and calendar services hold our correspondence and your booking details.
• Venues and planners may receive the practical details needed to deliver a confirmed booking — for example a load-in time or a run of show. Only what is necessary, and only once you are a client.

I may also disclose information where the law requires it.

Cookies and tracking

This site uses cookies and similar technology for analytics and advertising measurement. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site will still work. You can opt out of Google Analytics across all sites using Google's browser add-on, and control advertising personalisation through Google My Ad Center.

Some pages embed content from SoundCloud, YouTube, Instagram and Google Maps. Those services may set their own cookies when their content loads. Their privacy policies govern that, not this one.

How long I keep it

Enquiries that do not lead to a booking are kept for around two years, in case you come back to me. Records relating to actual bookings — contracts, invoices and the correspondence around them — are kept as long as tax and accounting rules require. You can ask me to delete your information sooner.

Your choices

You can ask me what information I hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask me to delete it. Email yodjdel@gmail.com and I will respond within a reasonable time. Depending on where you live you may have further rights under laws such as the GDPR or the California Consumer Privacy Act; tell me where you are based and I will handle your request accordingly.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS, and the services listed above hold your information under their own security arrangements. No method of transmitting information over the internet is completely secure, so I cannot promise absolute security — but I do not keep more than I need, and I do not keep it longer than I need to.

Children

This site is aimed at people booking event services and is not directed at children. I do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version appears on this page with a new date at the top.
